Belgian Food & Beer Marathon: To celebrate 110 years of diplomatic presence in Thailand, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium has organized the first Belgian food & beer marathon in ThailandBelgian Food & Beer Marathon at La Paillote, Hua Hin on November 8
On offer daily is a special menu of Belgian delights: Chicken Waterzooi from Ghent, meat balls in hot tomato sauce from Liege, carrot Stoemp and sausages from Brussels.

November 10: Inauguration of the first Belgo-Thai Fritkot in front of La Paillote
November 11,13,15: A special mussels menu offering nine different versions Mariniere, White Wine, Poulette, Chilli, Chilli & Cream, Roquefort, Provencal, Yellow Curry, Hoegaarden Beer
November 12, 14: Enjoy rabbit and prunes with Blond Leffe beer, Flemish beef stew with dark brown Leffe beer and pork fillet with tomatoes and Leffe Radieuse
November 16: Belgian-Thai fusion at the Sala Thai, the new Thai fine cuisine restaurant owned and managed by La Paillote
Belgian Food & Beer Marathon at Millennium Hilton, Bangkok from November 24-29
Guest Chef Koen Lefever of Pakhuis in Ghent, Docks Cafe in Antwerp and La Quincaillerie in Brussels is bringing his culinary delights to Bangkok. His menu here will include smoked eel, cod fillet and North Sea sole, baked Jonagold Apple Pie, gratinated sabayon with Kriek beer, caramelised Conference pear and Speculoos ice cream. All paired with a variety of Belgian beers by a Belgian sommelier.
