INSIGHTS ASIA SUMMIT, CO-CHAIR AND A MEMBER OF THE YPO THAILAND CHAPTER

YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) is a not-for-profit, global network of young chief executives connected around the shared mission of becoming Better Leaders Through Education and Idea ExchangeTM. Founded in 1950, YPO today provides 20,000 peers and their families in more than 120 countries with access to unique experiences, world-class resources, alliances with top learning institutions, and specialized networks that help them enhance their business, community and personal leadership. Altogether, YPO member-run companies employ more than 15 million people around the world and generate US$6 trillion in annual revenues.

Bangkok will be the host city for a gathering of 60 industry magnates who will address an audience of 300 chief executives and prominent business leaders from around the region at the two-day YPO Insights ASEAN Summit, an initiative of the Young Presidents’ Organization’s Southeast Asia Region. The summit is scheduled to take place from 17-18 September 2014 at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok Hotel.

The Insights ASEAN Summit (IAS) will provide insights on how to capitalize on the formation in 2015 of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). A series of discussion panels will provide an understanding of the AEC and propose actionable business insights for attendees.

“YPO’s Southeast Asia Region is pleased to offer the Insights ASEAN Summit as a valuable platform for anyone interested in doing business in Southeast Asia,” said Fred Mouawad, CEO of Synergia Group, Insights ASEAN Summit co-chair and a member of the YPO Thailand Chapter.

On 17 September, IAS will open with a keynote address by former ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Surin Pitsuwan on the topic, “AEC Roadmap: Opportunities and Challenges.” A closing highlight on the same day will be the keynote address on “AEC: Managing the Influence of China and India,” delivered by Kishore Mahbubani, dean of Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

Standard Chartered Bank, celebrating 120 years in Thailand, is Summit partner and an IAS sponsor. Luxury real-estate developer Pace Development is a gold-level partner. The Bangkok-based C-ASEAN knowledge center, due to be launched in 2015, is a silver-level partner.
